Surviving low budgets, dealing with cast, dealing with bureaucrats, dealing with each other, a funny and at times harrowing course in survival of the fittest.

Rowan Woods

Rowan is the winner of best director at the AFI Awards and is the current President of the Australian Directors Guide.  He’s outnumbered on this panel by Producers but will bring valuable insights particularly in the critical producer director relationship. Rowan’s work has covered feature film and TV drama. His first film, THE BOYS starring David Wenham and Toni Collette screen at BONDIWOOD and won best film at the AFI Awards, he has directed for TV Including RAKE, police rescue and the much acclaimed THE KETTERING INCIDENT

Chris Hilton

Chris is the CEO and Founder of Tilt Media.  He’s one of the most prolific and successful producer in the Australian industry. His 500 hours of production output have covered documentaries, drama and unscripted, true crime and lifestyle programming.  His clients have included virtually every major broadcaster and streamer in the world.  They don’t come any more experienced than Chris.

Michael Cordell

Michael is the co-founder and creative director of CJZ.  His output is quite extraordinary and across a wide range of output.  He is the producer of arguably the most successful TV export ever BONDI RESCUE. The series is seen all over the world and has won numerous awards, created spin off series and even a game. His career has encompassed highly regarded series drama including HOUSE OF HANCOCK and THE GREAT MINT SWINDLE. We’re screening his feature doc WORKING CLASS BOY on which he was EP. His SBS series GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM became the first Australian series to win the prestigious Rose D’Or as Best International TV production.

Greer Simpkin

Greer is co-managing director of Bunya Productions one of the most prolific quality producers in the country.  She has overseen the production of some of the most memorable recent drama including MYSTERY ROAD FOR TV, and Feature film LIMBO, which is screening at BONDIWOOD, GOLDSTONE, SWEET COUNTRY AND JASPER JONES.  Greer’s broad production experience

David Jowsey

David is the co-founder of Bunya productions in conjunction with auteur Ivan Sen.  Together they have made a number of highly regarded features together including GOLDSTONE and LIMBO (screening at BONDIWOOD).  He has had a long commitment to the telling of first nations stories both in his native New Zealand and in Australia having worked with Warwick Thornton , Rachel Perkins and Leah Purcell.  His films have screened in Cannes, Sundance, Toronto, they’ve won awards all over the shop and David is regarded as one of the most influential producers in the country.
